Everyone wants to be a "D-Boy" and no one wants to be "A" man

     I have had most of my time consumed by Work and Halo 3. However, I have had some time to check out a little cable. While I was skimming through channels I saw a show on HBO calles "Little Rock: 50 Years Later." I assumed it was the special where it was the reunion special for the Gangbangin in Little Rock show nearly 10 years ago (yeah I was half asleep didn't think about it chronologically). Anyhoo, when I saw this special it showed how we as black youth progressed over the span of 50 years from the first black students being allowed in an all white school. And from what I seen..... I AM TOO FUCKING PISSED!!!!

     We as black people went this far for this bullshit!?! Fir those of you that didn't see the show I highlights the black students of a high school in Arkansas. One is a 16 year old girl who by the age of 13 had her first kid. By the age of 15 she had her second child. Ok surprisingly, she is still in school so my hats off to her. But what made me quickly renig on her points, this muthasucka got the odasity (spell check?) to be on the damn softball team?!? What the cock is this shit? You have 2 kids which at first you had no business to be having and you have the nerve to be on the softball team? Priorities ma-ma.... Priorities.

     Next we see a class room of mostly boys and about two girls. Im gonna keep it real with you guys because this shit was the most pathetic sight ever. All you saw was white tees and un-interested eyes. The teacher god bless her soul tries to conduct class and it takes her damn near 8 minutes to get the class in order, and when they finally get their act together, they came to class with no paper or writing utencils. When listening, to the lecture the teacher asks the class, "Can anyone tell me what irony means?" I kid you not all you hear is ummmms in a tone that it can be translated as "nigga is you gon tell me the answer?" This class was Junior Remedial English. Next door was AP english populated by a class size of 25-30 with only 3 black students.

     Later on they show they show a African American history class where the students look like your average students with a few white students. However, the students were mostly dressed in polos, marvin Gaye shirts, militant styles of clothing consisting of your "insert trendy militant icon of the month here__________, " your typical backpacker style. So I'm asking you guys this. Is this what it has come to? Has our state of mind and self-expression become a stereotype (for example how I just described the history class as backpackers)? Let me know what you guys think. I got more shit to vent out tommorow I got a cigarette callin me right now (for your information it is not a Newport....... but it is a menthol lol ).
